Hesston College offers an associate of arts degree, a degree program that ensures ease of transfer into the four-year college or university exercise science program of your choice. The associate of arts degree is designed to fulfill the primary sequence of courses required for subsequent upper-level courses.
In addition, you will complete a range of liberal arts courses that provides a broadly based educational foundation. The liberal arts courses are similar to and meet most introductory general education courses at four-year institutions. After two years, you will have completed at least 60 college credit hours to earn the associate of arts degree.

What courses will I take?
With a major in exercise science, you will take the following core courses: Introduction to Exercise Science, Personal and Community Health, Personal Training and Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries along with coureses in chemistry, biology and mathematics.
But that’s not all. Our small classes and intensive, personalized instruction will help you excel in the critical foundation courses for your major. At Hesston, there are no teaching assistants, only instructors who devote all of their time and energy to first- and second-year students. Our small class size also means that you will find your instructors available to work with you individually outside of class time.
