Graduation and Commencement Ceremonies

Commencement exercises are held once a year at the close of the spring term for all students who have completed degree requirements within the past academic year. Students who lack no more than two courses to complete graduation requirements and are currently registered to finish those classes by the end of the fall term may petition the registrar’s office to participate in commencement ceremonies. However, the actual degree will not be awarded until all graduation requirements are met. The official graduation date is the date that the last requirement is met. For students who complete degree requirements by transferring work back to Hesston College from another institution, the graduation date is the date that the registrar receives the transcript.

Second Degree

Students with one Hesston College associate degree may receive a second associate degree upon completion of a minimum of twelve Hesston College hours (in addition to those required for the first degree) and all graduation requirements.
