Hesston College women’s soccer starts 2013 recruiting class by adding local talent

Megan Baumgartner signs to play soccer for Hesston College.

Hesston College women’s soccer coach Bryan Kehr announced the addition of Megan Baumgartner, a senior at Hesston High School. Baumgartner competed in four years of basketball and cross country at Hesston, and two years of track.

“Hesston High does not have a women’s soccer program, but Megan will be a great team member, and I am confident that as the season progresses next year she will find a place on the field for the Larks,” Kehr said. “Since playing in middle school, she has continued to find opportunities to develop her game.

She is intelligent and works hard at everything she does.  I look forward to seeing Megan continuing to develop as a soccer player.”

A National Honor Society member, Baumgartner will decide her major at Hesston. She attends Whitestone Mennonite Church, Hesston.

Baumgartner is the daughter of Gail and Jeff Baumgartner, Hesston.
