Hesston College names Kehr women’s soccer coach

Bryan Kehr

Hesston College announces Bryan L. Kehr of Goshen, Ind., as its new head coach for women’s soccer. Kehr will immediately be involved with recruiting and signing athletes, though his coaching responsibilities won’t begin until August.

In addition to his work as head coach for women’s soccer, Kehr will be director of intramurals and an instructor for physical education at the college.

“I feel very fortunate to land a coach with Bryan’s credentials,” said Art Mullet, Hesston College athletic director. “He has a wealth of soccer coaching knowledge and experience, especially with women’s soccer. I’m also very pleased that, because of his background, he understands Mennonite education and philosophy and will be a natural fit to the athletic department, as well as the campus community in general.”

Kehr currently serves as athletic director and instructor at Bethany Christian Schools in Goshen. He launched the varsity girls’ soccer program at the school 11 years ago and has led the team to four sectional titles and one regional title.

Kehr is a Goshen (Ind.) College graduate with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and a minor in family life education. He has coaching licenses and certification from both the United States Soccer Federation and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Kehr is a member of Berkey Avenue Mennonite Fellowship in Goshen where his wife Anita serves as pastor.
