What to bring (and what not to bring)

What to bring

  • extra long twin bed sheets
  • pillow(s)
  • extra blanket
  • alarm clock
  • towels and washcloths
  • bathroom caddie and supplies (soap, shampoo, razor, etc.)
  • fan
  • laundry basket
  • computer (wireless is available)
  • ethernet cable (if you have a desktop computer)
  • refrigerator (talk with roommate before bringing one)
  • backpack/duffle bag (overnight trips)
  • sleeping bag
  • clothes hangers
  • office supplies (scissors, paper clips, stapler, pens, wastebasket, etc.)
  • notebook with folders for each class
  • calendar
  • room decor (posters, pictures, etc.)
  • kitchen basics (bowl, plate, silverware, cup)
  • snack foods
  • iron and mini ironing board (if you iron on a regular basis)

What not to bring

  • halogen lamps
  • guns of any sort (BB, paintball, firearm)
  • pets (other than fish)
  • fireworks or explosive devices
  • alcohol, illegal drugs, and items pertaining to alcohol or illegal drugs (including empty bottles or cans)
  • microwave ovens, electric grills, fryers, toaster ovens
  • electric heaters
  • ceiling fans
