Steven Spooner is Professor of Piano at the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University. His compelling performances have been hailed worldwide. “Steven Spooner is the real deal, a pianist of apparently limitless raw technique that’s almost note perfect.” (American Record Guide.) He has released more than 40 recordings, including a project of 16 CDs honoring his pianistic heroes called Dedications. He served on the faculty of the University of Kansas before moving to the Peabody Institute.
This performance takes the place of Calmus: Christmas A Cappella, which was canceled due to VISA travel complications in december. Free to season ticket holders or $25 single tickets available at the door. A Valentine reception will follow the concert.
