Men’s Soccer Head Coach

Hesston College is looking for our next head coach. Could it be you? The Men’s Soccer Head Coach leads our competitive NJCAA Division II men’s soccer program. In this position, you will be responsible for providing vision and leadership in the development of the program, while creating and sustaining an atmosphere that promotes the academic and personal growth of Hesston’s student-athletes.

Your leadership in this program will include:

  • Developing a comprehensive recruiting plan that focuses on meeting set recruitment and retention goals of qualified student-athletes;
  • Managing practice, planning and player development;
  • Completing administrative duties (i.e. team travel, scheduling of tournaments and practices, budget management and travel arrangements);
  • Participating in fundraising initiatives for the Athletic department and the men’s soccer program.

Our athletic program is built on the Hesston College athletic core values: accountability, engagement, joy and community. We expect you to model these values and mentor your student-athletes to grow in each one of these values.

To be successful in this position, you will need a passion for soccer and the success of student-athletes. You will need to be organized, relational and have excellent communication and computer skills. Our goal is to find someone with a master’s degree (bachelor’s degree required) or with successful soccer coaching experience at the collegiate level; a demonstrated success in recruiting student-athletes and knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations or a willingness to learn. The head coach has a varied work schedule to include afternoons, nights and weekend hours, combined with business hours and some moderate travel.

If you share our values and our enthusiasm to educate and nurture each student within a Christ-centered community, integrating thought, life and faith for service to others in the church and the world, you will find a home at Hesston College.

If this full-time, benefits-eligible position sounds of interest to you, send an application and resume to joinus@hesston.edu. Don’t feel like you meet all the above requirements? Apply anyway. Our goal is to hire the most qualified candidates, and that could be you! Hesston College embraces continual learning of diversity, equity and inclusion on campus.
