International Student Support Coordinator

Do you feel called to provide support to students who are far, far away from home? Do you have a deep care for ensuring students transition successfully to a new culture and new learning environment? Hesston College is hiring an International Student Support Coordinator, and this may be the next great opportunity for you!

Your goal as an International Student Support Coordinator is to connect international students with resources to help them navigate a new (our) culture. This may mean providing transportation to various locations in our region (airport, medical appointments, government agencies), working with students prior to and upon arrival to the United States, coordinating campus events such as the annual Cultures Fair and assisting students in the overall transition to the United States. You would also be considered a designated official for immigration purposes. Being effective in this position takes lots of compassion, energy, organization and skill.

Our goal is to find someone with a bachelor’s degree or at minimum an associate degree. When you apply, be sure to include any qualifications and experience you have related to communication, experience with other cultures, and computer technology.

If you share our values and our enthusiasm for educating and nurturing each student within Christ-centered community, integrating thought, life and faith for service to others in the church and the world, you will find a home at Hesston College.

If this part-time (.75 FTE), benefits-eligible position sounds of interest to you, send a cover letter, application and resume to joinus@hesston.edu. Don’t feel like you meet all the above requirements? Apply anyway. Our goal is to hire the most qualified candidates, and that could be you! Hesston College embraces continual learning of diversity, equity and inclusion on campus. Position scheduled to start January 2022.
