Hesston College seeks applicants for a Director of Marketing and Communications. The position is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for developing and implementing the long-term marketing and communication vision for Hesston College’s brand, which promotes its unique position in the marketplace. Responsibilities include working with the Vice President of Advancement to plan, develop and implement all Hesston College marketing strategies and marketing communications, both external and internal. Oversees development and implementation of support materials and services in the area of marketing and communications. Directs the efforts of the marketing and communications staff and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of the college. Oversees the staff responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing and communications program that will enhance the Hesston College image and position within the marketplace and the general public, and facilitate internal and external communications.
Qualifications include relational skills, integrity, significant attention to detail, excellent writing skills, ability to work independently, and business acumen. Bachelor’s degree in communications/marketing or related field required, 3-5 years experience as a highly creative person leading a marketing or branding campaign for a large organization or educational institution preferred. Up to date with current technology, including social media/digital advertising and Adobe Suite software experience preferred.
