The Lark women’s basketball team concluded their regular season with a strong showing against Johnson County Community College. The Larks honored their sophomores but were defeated 78-62. The five sophomores who have worked hard and persevered over the last two years got the start for the Larks and played tough: Whitney Green, Carissa Slabach, Shaelyn Headrick, Connor Atkinson and Kara Horton.
Slabach and Headrick led the team in scoring with 14 each. Millaya Bray came off the bench and contributed 11 points. Green had nine rebounds while Headrick contributed seven boards and three assists.
“It was good to honor these terrific sophomores and their families,” said Head Coach Jeff Jacobs.
