Lark men push winning streak to four games

The Lark men’s basketball team won its fourth game in a row as they defeated Louisiana Christian School. The LCS Disciples made a late push to try to bring home a victory but the Larks were able to hold them off to win 82-71.

The first half went in spurts for both teams as the Larks led by as much as 16 but also allowed the Disciples to pull within one midway through the half. The Larks shot 66.7% from the field giving them an 18 point lead at halftime.

The second half was a different story for both teams as LCS tried to claw back into the game. Shooting percentage dropped to 47.6% for the Larks but they were able to gather more rebounds than the Disciples 31-22 in the second half, with 51 boards in the game. Aubrey Johnson lead the Larks with 17 points and Grant Harding pulled down 10 boards on the night. Zac Neely also had a solid night with 13 points and 7 boards.

The Larks will be back in action on Monday, December 4, at home against Sterling JV, tip-off at 8 p.m. They will be on the road Thursday, December 7, at Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley (Kansas City).
