Women’s Soccer signs Ohio defender

Lindsey Yoder signs a letter of intent to play soccer at Hesston College.

Hesston College women’s soccer coach Bryan Kehr announces Lindsey Yoder, a central defender from Hiland High School, Berlin, Ohio, as the newest member of the Larks 2016 recruiting class.

Named Tri-County Player of the Year and a first-team Greater Akron Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association selection, Yoder was her team’s defensive MVP. She helped the Hawks to a district runner-up finish her senior year.

Yoder is an honor roll student and is deciding her major. She attends Grace Mennonite Church, Berlin, and is active in the youth group there.

“Lindsey will be a great addition to our program, both on and off the field,” Kehr said. “A proven competitor, she’ll be a key piece of a formidable defense this season.”

Yoder is the daughter of Lister and Darlene Yoder, Millersburg.
