A fast paced first half came to an abrupt halt following a gutsy run and shot from the right flank from Hesston forward Angelo Sorboro. Despite getting off a tough angled shot, Angelo crumpled in a heap in the northeast corner of the field and was subsequently carted off with a broken leg.
The team continued to play hard and seemed headed to the intermission with a 0-0 deadlock but hopes were dashed with a final minute Allen Co. tally. The Larks held strong and allowed just one goal to a team that had beaten them 4-0 earlier in the season. Ben Baker played well in the goal commanding the air space in front of the goal and Chris Hignight and Chris Nachtigall provided superb cover on the defensive end. Also improving their play were Yusuke Oki and Jonathan Guth on the offensive end. The Larks press on in action with a visit to WSU on Thursday night.
