Coach Nussbaum's Comments
On one of the best playing nights of the season thus far, the Larks treated the crowd to one of their best efforts of the season. Despite losing 4-0, Hesston's defense played a more intelligent and aggressive game than any match to this point in the season. Chris Nachtigall and Tomo Omiya combined in the back for much improved play and Andy Hoffman continued his consistent play.
Playing particularly well in the offensive end were Take Fukumoto and Angelo Sorboro. Yusuke Oki is recovering nicely from being brutally "fouled" while on the bench midway through the second half.
Hesston returns to play next Wednesday at Neosho County and then travels to Kansas City to play KCKCC on Saturday. Hesston's next home game is Tuesday, Oct. 10 versus Allen County.
