Despite the outcome, the team showed significant improvement from the opening four games. An errant cross that found the upper left corner (that was nearly saved) was the undoing of the confidence for a valiant Lark effort. Hesston had several chances on goal in the first half forcing some one-on-one saves from the Allen County goalkeeper but came away with nothing.
Ogi Marjonovic stepped into the HC goal after starting GK Chris Hignight suffered a thumb injury. Marjonovic made a stellar save in the first half. Also playing solid games were Take Fukumoto, Angelo Sorboro, Jason Ramer and Greg Myers. Each game shows a bit more promise as more intelligence finds a way to shine through bit by bit.
