Entering the game the Hesston Larks had just a few things on their minds: stop Cloud from running up the score and stop Cloud from running up the score. The plan worked well for nearly 70 minutes as the defense dug their heels in the turf in front of the goal but an untimely intentional handball that led to an ejection and penalty kick spoiled the short lived success.
Cloud relentlessly pummeled the goalkeeper but the porous defense had grown leg weary. Running on several subs the Larks gave it all they had only to have the house of cards come crashing down on them in the closing 20 minutes. The Larks will be in action again on Friday and Saturday night at home against Sterling and Barclay respectively.
