Because Hesston is a two-year school, I was able to get involved right away as a freshman in choir and in drama productions.
As a sophomore, I’m a Resident Assistant and I’m also involved in the college’s first forensics team—I nearly earned a trip to nationals! Participating in these activities has allowed me to continue doing things I enjoyed in high school, experience lots of new things, improve my skills, and build friendships with lots of different people. I believe that I would not have had the opportunity to participate in so many activities if I had attended a bigger school.
