When I came to Hesston College,
I was interested in film acting.
I had done theatre productions during high school, and musical theatre outside
of school through my dance company. In film, I had a small speaking role in a
TV movie by Lions Gate Films called Bang, Bang, You’re Dead, shown in the
U.S. on the Showtime channel.
Hesston College gave me many helpful tools in the field of acting. I learned
how to make up a performance resume, tips and protocol for auditions, what directors
like, and so on. My many directors and professors had significant roles in my
maturation as an actor, and with my ability to go deeper with scripts and roles.
With the help of amazing professors, the guidance of many wonderful mentors,
and the support of a fantastic group of friends, I have learned more about life,
God, and myself than I ever thought possible.
In September 2005, I got an agent for acting. Since then, I’ve been auditioning
for film/TV/theater and have booked some student projects and theater work. I’m
also doing some dramatic/dance arts for worship purposes at my church.
