I came to Hesston College to further my ability to work with Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) by enrolling in the Disaster Management program, which is not offered at any other school. Through this program I have been able to participate in many MDS activities and projects, helping many different people and organizations. I will also participate in a 10-week summer service project where I will work directly with MDS staff and volunteers at an MDS reconstruction site.
Hesston College is a great place to start off your college adventure. For me, I was able to get involved in athletics such as softball, was a member of the wind ensemble and the Larks Pep Band, and participated in many campus activities. Hesston is a wonderful place to grow spiritually with great professors who have strong biblical backgrounds and personal commitments. These teachings and examples have helped my faith become much deeper and stronger.
Coming to Hesston has been a great experience for me, preparing me for the future, and helping me make many new, long-lasting friendships.
