Process of discussion and reporting:
Tables of six people were formed. Approximately 150
faculty and staff were involved and were seated around 25 tables. Each table was asked to discuss
and summarize on two or three sticky notes "What Matters Most" at the college in the first session and
"What Do We Do Best" in the second session. Approximately one hour of time was allowed for each
exercise. These notes were gathered and placed on the wall. Nelson Kilmer and Marilyn Flaming
organized the notes into related themes which emerged as the notes were reviewed.
These notes and comments have been summarized in
this report. The actual comments on the Post It Notes are included in the comments page for each
section. This provides the actual words stated and makes it possible for others who might have
interest to organize the basic data collected along other themes.
