The faculty and staff developed provocative propositions in a third exercise at the faculty/staff retreat. A total of 20 proposals were suggest by table groups. These were categorized in the following areas:

The proposals reflect the thoughts of the faculty and staff and are summarized in detail on the following pages. The highest number of proposals came in the following areas:
Communication and Decision Making (35%)
Many of these related to improving communication so we can work well
together as a community and improve job performance and efficiency.
Student Learning (25%)
These comments focus on the changing nature of education and the opportunity
to explore and expand the learning model. The proposals also speak to
challenging the academically advanced students as well as the less advanced.
Comments also focused on developing an innovative general education
program that is student centered.
Other Areas (40%)
The other areas include dealing with the diversity
of the student population,
improving the financial stability of the
college, and also improving
the educational environment by advancing
the use of computer technology.
