Comparison of "What Matters Most" (Session A) with What We Do Best (Session B) shows the things we value most are the things we do best in most cases. One can see that what we say we do best emerges out of the values the faculty/staff have at Hesston College as shown below:
The themes with higher and lower percentage of notes and comments tend to
be similar on both A and B lists above. This speaks to the congruity between “What
Matters Most?” and “What We Do Best” and to the amount
of importance we place on these themes.
Comparing the internal perspective of faculty and staff with the external
perspective of Hesston College would be interesting. It would also
be interesting to compare the results of this process with the results
of data from other institutions if available. The information contained
here could be used as a basis for further discussion by the faculty
and staff and/or possibly others groups related to the college.
