Hesston College men's basketball coach Tim Swartzendruber has announced that Rickie McGhee, Jr., Omaha, Neb., has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball for the Larks beginning with the 2007-08 season.
As a senior, McGhee, a combo guard from Omaha South High School, averaged 11.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 2.3 steals per game.
"We feel Rickie fills a need for our team," Swartzendruber said. "He is a great shooter and can also play the point guard position. I am thrilled to continue our relationship with Omaha South High School. We have had a number of players from that school and they have fit well at Hesston College."
The Hesston College men's basketball team competes in Division II of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Located in south central Kansas, Hesston College is the two-year liberal arts college owned by Mennonite Church USA.
