“John's addition to the team continues on a theme of solid players with great tennis backgrounds,” said Baker. “John will provide a maturity and a much needed mental understanding of the game of tennis. I look forward to understanding more of how he thinks through his matches, and utilizing that skill to teach the rest of the team.”
Oyer is the son of Gary and Louisa Oyer, Hesston.

Aaron Peak, a three-time top-ten medalist in tennis at the Kansas state tournament, was a three-sport athlete during his days at Buhler (Kan.) High School.       Peak’s accomplishments are not limited to the athletic arena, as he was a four-year member of the honor-roll at Buhler High. He attends Emmanuel Lutheran Church (Hutchinson, Kan.), and attended the national youth gathering in San Antonio, Texas, with his youth group.
"Aaron is a straight up athlete, a three-sport star his senior year with a place on the all-state soccer team,” explained Baker. “I’m excited to see how Aaron will grow in his tennis skills and help develop this program"
