Food Service Director

Hesston College seeks applicants for the position of Food Service Director. This is a full-time position during the 10-month school year (August – May). Full-time benefits included. Food Service Director reports to Vice President of Finance & Auxiliary Services. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, leadership experience in a food service operation, strong service and quality background and a commitment to Christian higher education and the mission and values of Hesston College.

Food Service Director leads all aspects of the college’s food service operation including the following primary responsibilities:

  • leading and managing food service staff
  • setting the overall vision for the department
  • caring for the nutritional and dietary needs of Hesston College students
  • ensuring quality menu offerings
  • purchasing food inventory and supplies
  • maintaining cleanliness and health code standards
  • promoting exemplary service to students and employees
  • managing departmental budget
  • integrating direction of food service operation into the College’s overall strategic vision
