Green GablesTelling the Hesston College Story

Hesston College anticipates a centennial anniversary celebration in 2009. A centennial planning committee is considering a host of events and activities. Already launched is the writing of a 100-year history by John Sharp. Projected date for the celebration and the book release is fall 2009.

But you don't have to wait that long for glimses of Hesston's story. Here you will find snatches of Sharp's research to whet your appitite:

  • Staff Directory (Still to Come)
  • Campus Humor (still to come)
  • Alumni Memories (still to come)

You can help tell the story:

  1. Send stories as they come to mind, such as your reasons for attending Hesston, conversations with faculty or staff that exemplify the "Hesston Experience," formative experiences as a student, discouraging moments, disappointments. Tell about the negative, as well as the positive memories. Yes, humor and stories of pranks are welcome, too.
  2. Send photos.
  3. Suggest persons to be interviewed.
  4. Send names of alumni engaged in unusual careers, or who have made extraordinary contributions to church and society.
  5. Pass on stories you have heard--with a preference for those that can be verified, of course. Debating your story's significance? Send it!
