Hesston College Student Scholarship Golf Benefit

You are invited to the Hesston College Student Scholarship Golf Benefit sponsored by Excel Industries, Inc., at Hesston Golf Park. The event kicks off A Hesston College Homecoming 2014.

Proceeds from the 2014 Hesston College Student Scholarship Golf Benefit will go towards the Dave and Sena Osborne Scholarship Fund, which will provide two $1,000 scholarships to international Hesston College sophomores in the first year and will be endowed for future scholarships when earnings reach $20,000.


Teams will consist of four golfers. You can register as a team or as a single player to be placed on a team.

If you are unable to golf but would like to participate, you can also sponsor a college student or team of college students.


Noon – Registration
1 p.m. – Four-person Shamble
5 p.m. – Prime rib dinner, program and prizes


  • Please register and pay by Sept. 20. Print and mail registration
  • Invite three golfers to join you.
  • Single entries will be placed in foursome.

You will have TWO opportunities to go home with a premium Hustler mower!


Prizes provided by area businesses including a premium Hustler lawn mower provided by Excel Industries, Inc., for the golfer who is closest to and within three feet of the pin.


Come prepared to bid on a residential Hustler mower generously donated by Excel Industries


Sponsorships are welcome! Anyone may sponsor a hole for $200. All sponsors will be advertised

Dave and Sena Osborne’s legacy

Proceeds from the 2013 golf tournament benefit the Dave and Sena Osborne Scholarship Fund at Hesston College. Dave and Sena are both graduates and long-time supporters of Hesston College and its students. Dave and Sena have worked at the college for a combined 59 years – Sena as manager of the post office and Dave in a variety of roles, including director of international student services, ESL instructor and currently as director of international admissions. 

Dave and Sena have a passion for helping and learning from others’ experiences of moving across cultures and languages that stems from their own experiences of living in five countries. Dave and Sena value the richness that diversity brings to the Hesston College campus and want to see that continue.
