My background: I grew up in Sterling, Kansas and attended Sterling High School.

Why I chose Hesston: I chose Hesston College because I wanted to grow spiritually and further my walk with Christ, be challenged in the classroom, and heighten my level of performance as a basketball player.

My favorite Hesston College memories: I have a ton of Hesston College memories that I would consider to be my “favorite” – I think they all have one common theme and that is “relationship.” My memories are based on the genuine people that I met at Hesston College ranging from the students to the faculty and staff.

After Hesston: I continued my education and basketball career at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Va., and received a degree in Communication with a minor in business administration, and had a concentration in photography.

How Hesston is the same as when I attended: There are many similarities between Hesston College when comparing my experience as a student and now as part of the staff. The major similarity is the great relationships that continue to blossom here. People are genuine and authentic and I believe that Hesston College continues to enforce a community of people that care.

More about me: My passions are basketball and photography – I can’t get enough of either. Most people probably don’t know that I also work as a Keynote Speaker – presenting to thousands on a variety of topics. I speak at many youth events, leadership seminars, sports camps, churches, businesses, and more. Speaking is my love and I enjoy the opportunity to encourage, challenge, and change the lives of people through different speaking engagements.
