My Background: I grew up all over the east--West Liberty, Ohio, Harrisonburg, Va., Johnstown, Pa. I attended Conemaugh Township Area High School near Johnstown Pa.

Why I chose Hesston College: After I finished visiting the schools I was interested in, Hesston felt the most comfortable. The admissions staff and faculty at Hesston showed alot of interest in me. Also, I was very impressed with the facilities.

My favorite Hesston College memory: 2B3 my sophmore year. I was in a mod (residence hall living unit--basically a cluster of dorm rooms--that is home to about 10 students and is led by resident assistant) with several close friends. There are so many good memories from that mod- so I'll just say that entire year. Also winning the Regional Playoffs in Baseball both years- the first time that had happened at HC.

After Hesston: I earned a bachelor's degree in history from Millersville University in Lancaster, Pa.

How Hesston is the same as when I attended: Outstanding academic programs (Nursing, Aviation, and many others). Faculty/Staff strive to make everyone feel welcome. Great learning and growing environment.

How Hesston is better than when I was a student: The continued improvements made on campus. Library, Men's Dorms, Student Center, etc. When I attended, most of the buildings were new or had major renovations ahead of them. Now, especially with the new library, the campus looks even better. We are fortunate to have such fine facilites here at Hesston.
