Success Stories - Jessica Sweigart

After my two years at Hesston College, I am working as a full-time nurse on a surgical-oncology unit at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan. The transition from full-time student to full-time nurse in the real world was no doubt a challenge.
   While at Hesston, I benefitted most from the clinical experiences at the hospital. These opportunities allowed me to retain so much knowledge from the patients I worked with, the nurses working with me, and the instructors challenging me to think critically.
   I truly believe that from my experience at Hesston College, I am able to feel confident in my role as a nurse. I love what I do. I really can go anywhere with the foundation that Hesston provided for me. The options are wide open; the learning process is endless.
