The English major at Hesston is offered through the English department. Hesston offers a four-year transfer program in English which can also serve as the foundation for a degree in literature, journalism, or pre-law.

Hesston's small classes offer students excellent opportunities for interaction with faculty and other students. English majors take several intensive writing courses alongside a variety of literature and related courses. English studies and a well-rounded general education program prepare them for their junior and senior years.
