Students in Hesston's disaster management program take a variety of classes designed to introduce them to disaster settings and organized ways to provide relief. A ten-week field experience between the freshman and sophomore years and a ten-week internship after the sophomore year take the students to active Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) units to work and learn. A broad array of supporting and general education courses prepare students for their junior and senior years.
