The Bible major at Hesston is offered through the Bible and Ministry department. Hesston offers a two-year program in Bible with a Bible and religion track and a youth ministry track. Hesston also offers a four-year transfer program in Bible which can be a stepping stone toward a degree in Bible, religion, or youth ministry. Hesston's Bible program can also serve as the first step in a pre-professional program in seminary.

Rigorous, thought provoking courses and discussion and study groups provide students with ample opportunities to explore and grow in their faith commitments while gaining an academic foundation for further study. Hesston's instructors teach with an evangelical spirit and sensitivity, seeking to help students first to know the biblical story and to connect with it on a personal level. A Bible major can be the first step toward a variety of careers ranging from mission work and ministry to education, communication, business, and social services and it can be a time for exploration. A Bible major is learning for life.
