Aviation

One of Hesston's planes aloftThe Aviation program at Hesston is offered through the Aviation department. It is a two-year associate degree program.

Students take to the air quickly in the Hesston program, arriving on campus a week before the semester begins for Fly Larks week. Some earn their private pilot's licenses as early as mid November then add ratings--instrument, commercial pilot, multi-engine, flight instructor--over a two-year period. Hesston grads fly in a variety of settings including mission aviation, corporate, and airline. Hesston grads fly for all the majors and many regional carriers.
