Two-year Nursing Program Track

FOR ADMISSION TO TWO-YEAR NURSING
Applicants must meet ONE of the following options for admission:

Option #1

  1. Completion of Anatomy & Physiology by the beginning of the Nursing I semester;
  2. High school GPA of 3.25 or above;
  3. ACT composite score of 22, or combined score of 1030 on the 2-part SAT or 1540 on the 3-part SAT; and
  4. If an international student, a TOEFL score of 550 or CBT score of 213.

Option #2

  1. Completion of three courses that fulfill program requirements, including Anatomy & Physiology, by the beginning of the Nursing I semester;
  2. GPA of 3.0 in college courses that fulfill program requirements;
  3. ACT composite score of 19, or combined score of 910 on the two-part SAT or 1365 on the three-part SAT, or COMPASS score of 60 in Writing/85 in Reading; and
  4. If an international student, a TOEFL score of 550 or CBT score of 213.

Note: To graduate, nursing students must satisfy the College Math Competency requirement through standardized testing scores, competency testing on campus, or completion of a suitable course (College Algebra or higher).

Key:
+ SCS course waived for suitable transfer course or full-time semester of successful college coursework.

++ College course or Computer Competency Exam must be passed to meet graduation requirement.

MaSc 105 College Algebra or Math Competency Exam must be passed to meet graduation requirements.

* Chemistry requirement waived for students who have completed one year of high school chemistry within the past five years (with a grade of C or above)

** Hesston College Distinctive course that must be taken at Hesston College; transfer course not accepted.
