Applicants choosing the prenursing track typically enroll in general education and supporting courses during the first year of the program. Nursing coursework occurs during the second and third years. No prerequisite courses are necessary for entering the prenursing track. The same requirements exist for graduation. However, the courses are spread over a longer time period. This plan is a good choice for students desiring a more manageable academic load each semester, as well as more opportunities for extracurricular activities, employment, and/or family responsibilities.
