There are times when it is best to buy equipment from a local AV equipment
supplier. Some give discounts to churches and often you can "try before
you buy". However most "local or big city AV" dealers charge 40% more
than companies who deal primarily through the mail.
If you know what you want and don't need much help they will save you
a lot.
