Two-Year Nursing Curriculum Sequence

FOR ADMISSION TO TWO-YEAR NURSING applicants must meet ONE of the following options for admission:

Option #1

  1. Completion of Anatomy & Physiology (college course) and Introductory Chemistry* by the beginning of the Nursing I semester;
  2. High school GPA of 3.25 or above;
  3. ACT composite score of 23, or SAT (CR+M) of 1070, or SAT (CR+M+W) of 1590; and
  4. If an international student, a minimum scaled score of 19 on the Reading section and 20 on each of the other sections (Listening, Speaking and Writing) of the internet-based TOEFL (iBT) by March 1.

Option #2

  1. 1) Completion of a minimum of four college courses that fulfill program requirements, including Anatomy & Physiology, by the beginning of the Nursing I semester
  2. GPA of 2.75 in college courses that fulfill program requirements;
  3. ACT composite score of 19, or SAT (CR+M) of 910, or SAT (CR+M+W) of 1365, or ASSET scaled scores of 42 reading and 42 writing; and
  4. If an international student, a minimum scaled score of 19 on the Reading section and 20 on each of the other sections (Listening, Speaking and Writing) of the internet-based TOEFL (iBT) by March 1.

*Chemistry requirement waived for students who have completed one year of high school chemistry within the past five years (with a grade of B or higher).

Nursing students are required to demonstrate math competency in dosage calculations through testing in nursing coursework. If math competency is not met in Nursing I, students must successfully complete Nurs 105 – Dosage Calculations.
