The Bel Canto Singers from Hesston College will take a tour of Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio during fall semester break October 14-18.
The group of 19 students was selected through auditions in the spring of 2006. Much of Bel Canto's repertoire is from the four-part a capella tradition, including hymns and spirituals. The group is directed by Jacob Rittenhouse and accompanied by Ken Rodgers, both music faculty members at the college.
During the 2006-07 school year, the Bel Canto Singers will perform at major school events, in local churches, on tour, and by special invitation.
The concerts of sacred choral music are free and open to the public. Alumni and friends of Hesston College are especially invited to attend the following concerts:
