Schaplowsky will play baseball at Hesston College

August 16, 2006

Paul Schaplowsky, Wichita, Kan., has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Hesston College. He graduated from Word of Life Traditional School (Wichita) in May.
Schaplowsky has been a key player on a highly successful baseball team there, being the "ace" of the pitching staff, as well as playing infield and outfield positions when not pitching.
"I'm pleased Paul has chosen Hesston College to continue his education and baseball career," said Larks baseball coach Art Mullet. "He gives us important pitching depth, and brings good tools and experience to our program. I believe he will find success here, both on and off the field."
Schaplowsky is the son of Dan and Barbara Schaplowsky, Wichita.
The Hesston College men's baseball team competes in Division II of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Located in south central Kansas, Hesston College is the two-year liberal arts college owned by Mennonite Church USA.
