Andrew Cole, son of Luke and
Lil Cole of Mulvane, has recently signed to play baseball at Hesston
College. Cole, who pitches and plays shortstop, was captain of last
spring's Wichita Warriors, and was selected to the KCAA (Kansas Christian
Athletic Association) 2-A Division All State team. He also was named
Most Valuable Player in the KCAA state tournament.
"We feel Andrew has college-level
tools and expect him to contribute immediately here," said Art
Mullet, Hesston College men's baseball coach. "He is a quality
young man and is a fine addition to our program, and our college community."
The Hesston College men's baseball
team competes in Division II of the National Junior College Athletic
Association.
Located in south central Kansas,
Hesston College is the two-year liberal arts college owned by Mennonite
Church USA.
