Elam Peachey to assume a part-time role next summer at Hesston College
Elam Peachey

August 17, 2005

President Howard Keim has announced that Elam Peachey, executive vice president of advancement for the college, will step down from that role during the summer of 2006. At that time, he will continue working part-time as a development officer.
Peachey has served in the development department since 1990, and as executive vice president since 2000. "Among his accomplishments," Keim said, "are developing a strong donor base in the eastern U.S.; increasing the department's capacity in planned giving, communication, and grant writing; as well as strengthening our connections to the church. Elam also led the largest capital campaign in the college's history, resulting in new and refurbished buildings and an enhanced campus appearance."
Keim said Peachey has been considering this transition for some time. "I am grateful for his willingness to serve an additional year in his current role," he said, "and to continue in the development department beyond that time."
Peachey said he's had many positive experiences during his tenure. "These have been fulfilling and exciting years of fund-raising on behalf of Hesston College and the mission of Hesston College and Mennonite higher education," he said. "I have also enjoyed giving leadership to the overall advancement efforts of Hesston College."
Keim said he will begin searching for Peachey's replacement during the fall.
