The total number of students
enrolled at Hesston College is the most in nine years.
Figures released by Registrar
Gerry Selzer indicate a total of 465 students are taking classes during
the fall semester, 19 more than a year ago. This fall's figure was
last exceeded in the fall of 1995, when 472 students enrolled.
States with the most students
at Hesston College included Kansas (179), Indiana (41), Ohio (29),
Iowa (24), Nebraska (18), and Pennsylvania (16).
Meanwhile, 53 international students
from 14 countries (including Canada) are attending Hesston College,
3 more than last fall. The number of full-time students increased
to 411, compared to 394 for the fall semester of the 2003-04 school
year. And the full-time equivalency of students hit 433, up 19 from
a year ago.
Of the 465 students enrolled this
fall, 260 (or 56 percent) are Mennonites. The number of new students
is 241, while 334 students are living in the dorms.
