- Dishroom monitor
- This assignment involves working with the student dishwashing crew during
weekday breakfast and lunch times. Some physical work involved, but primarily
involves observing, supervising, and monitoring the work of others. International
students are commonly assigned to this activity, so this position includes the
opportunity of relating to those from a variety of cultures. A detailed description
of tasks and requirements is available. Typical workday is from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
weekdays. Could be shared by two or more persons.
- Kitchen assistant
- This assignment includes working with food preparation for breakfast, lunch,
and supper cooks as scheduled, with some cleaning responsibilities as assigned by the
supervisor. Typical workday schedule is 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays. A detailed
description of tasks and requirements is available. Could be shared by two or more
persons.
- Snack shop assistant
- This assignment includes working with snack shop food preparation (generally
along with students), as well as completing cleaning responsibilities as assigned by the
snack shop manager. Typical workday schedule is 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. A
detailed description of tasks and requirements is available. Could be shared by two
or more persons.
- Catering assistant
- This assignment includes assisting management and cooking staff with setup,
serving, and cleanup of catering activities. This involves a flexible on-call schedule,
typically including evening hours when catering activities most commonly occur. A
detailed description of tasks and requirements is available.
- Coffee machine cleaner
- About three hours a week is required to clean the coffee machines located around
campus. Could be combined with the kitchen assistant role, or could be done as a separate
activity. Flexible schedule.
