Residence Halls
The Residence Life Staff
seeks to serve students and work with them to provide a living environment
where their basic needs are met and where they are challenged to responsible
living with others. Resident Directors (RDs) are staff who live in separate
apartments in the residence halls. They respond to student needs, provide
leadership to the dorms, and serve as role models and mentors for students.
They supervise Assistant Resident Directors (ARDs) and Resident Assistants
(RAs). RAs are second-year students chosen for their leadership skills
and commitment to Christ. Each RA is responsible to provide leadership
to a mod of eight to 14 students. RAs lead their mods in planning group
activities and developing a sense of community and accountability. They
help enforce the Hesston College Lifestyle Standards. More complete
details describing Student Life are available in the Student Handbook,
available from the Student Life Office. |
