Studies the Anabaptist Mennonite
story and theology since the Reformation. Investigates the Reformation
and the origins of Anabaptism. Explores the relationship of Anabaptist
thought to Roman Catholic, Lutheran, and Reformed theology. Attention
is given to Anabaptist hermeneutics, nature of the church, discipleship,
church and state, peace and nonviolence. Prerequisite: Biblical Literature
and sophomore standing or instructor permission.

Century to the present. Treats developments in Asia, Africa, and the
Western Hemisphere as well as western civilization. Particular attention
is paid to those circumstances that aid understanding of the world
