DMgt 105 Introduction to Disaster Response--3 Hours
      Introduces and explores the field of disaster management. Provides background for dealing with disasters, victimization, and economic losses from disasters in organized ways. Examines how organizations serve communities and individuals from a service perspective.

DMgt 110 MDS Culture I--1 hour
      Introduces students to all aspects of Mennonite Disaster Service, emphasizes service to people in need and preparation for leadership roles with MDS and other disaster response agencies. Focuses on the history of MDS, roles in MDS, and life on an MDS project site.

DMgt 120 MDS Culture II--1 hour
      A continuation of MDS Culture I. Focuses on construction skills that will be used on project sites. Prerequisite: MDS Culture I or consent of instructor.

DMgt 205 Disaster Management Leadership Development--3 hours
      Explores the qualities of effective leaders, the need for effective leadership, leaders throughout history, and ways that individuals can become effective leaders, in the disaster management field as well as in other fields. Prerequisite: sophomore standing or consent of instructor.

DMgt 210 MDS Culture III--1 hour
      A continuation of MDS Culture I and II. Focuses on using problem-solving skills for specific MDS case studies. Prerequisite: MDS Culture I and II, Summer Field Experience, or consent of instructor.

DMgt 220 MDS Culture IV--1 hour
      A continuation of MDS Culture III.

MDS Culture I/II/III/IV--1+1+1+1 hours
