Joel Kauffman   

Joel Kauffman, coach

      Joel began his Hesston College coaching career with the 1987-88 season. His teams have won five Region 6 Div. II Championships and the 1996-97 team took the NJCAA District B championship and played in the National NJCAA Division II Tournament held in Hagerstown, Maryland. Five Hesston players have been named All-American and numerous others have gone on to successful play at a variety of colleges and universities. Joel is a 1980 graduate of Hesston College, a 1982 graduate of Fresno Pacific University, and a 1993 graduate of Wichita State University.

 
Melanie Buller  

Melanie Buller, assistant coach

      Melanie returned to the Larks as an assistant coach for the 2003-04 season. A 1993 graduate of Hesston College, Melanie was a member of two Region 6 Div. II Championship teams. In 1991-92 her team lost in the District B championship game by three points to the eventual national champion, Illinois Central. Her primary responsibility is leading and planning the Larks conditioning program. Melanie is a Recreational Therapist at Prairie View Mental Heath Center.

 
Dan Harrison  

Dan Harrison, assistant coach

       Dan Harrison joined the Larks for the 2006-07 season after taking a two-year break from the game. Dan has been a successful high school coach in Kansas for 25 years and brings a wealth of experience to the game. His experience includes boys basketball coach at Minneola High School from 1993 to 1995 and at Campus High School (Haysville) from 1998 to 2004. Dan also coached women's golf at Wichita State University from 1989 to 1993, winning a conference championship and garnering coach of the year honors in 1992. Dan joined the Hesston College faculty in 2004. He teaches psychology and education courses. "In my years at Hesston College I have been impressed with the maturity and quality of women's basketball here. I hope to create excitement and enthusiasm in our players and to help them bring out the best in themselves and in their teammates."

Brent Brockmueller  

Brent Brockmueller , assistant coach

       Brent Brockmueller is beginning his first year as an assistant coach for the Larks. He also serves as a Resident Director and Activities Director at Hesston College, posts he has held since 2005. His works primarily with post players. Basketball has been a passion of his and coaching a life-long dream. Brent is a 2001 graduate of Hesston College and a 2004 graduate of Tabor College.
