The Hesston College women’s soccer team whipped Coffeyville (Kan.) CC by a 3-0 count on Saturday night, Sept. 17, improving their season record to 5-2.

The Larks wasted no time against the visiting Red Ravens, as freshman Mariah Martin (Glenwood Springs, Colo.) scored three minutes in on an assist by Yolli Conner (Centennial, Colo.). Martin scored again in the 35th minute, this time assisted by Colby Troyer (Waterford, Pa.). Martin capped off a tremendous game by assisting Conner in the 68th minute to set the final score.

The Larks outshot Coffeyville 13-5 and held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks. Amber Mayer (Wichita, Kan.) earned the shutout in the net for Hesston.

Hesston hosts Metropolitan Community College – Blue River next Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 5 p.m.
