Cloud gets by Hesston, 1-0

The Hesston College women’s soccer team surrendered a goal midway through the second-half that proved to be the difference maker in a tight 1-0 regional matchup.
Brittany Albrecht (Sebewaing, Mich.) had two shots-on-goal for the Larks, while freshman Janna Kaufman (Friendens, Pa.), finished with three shots, including one on goal. Hesston keeper Emily Toews (Whitewater, Kan.) had an excellent day in the net for the Larks, stopping 12 of 13 shots.

“We played well again today,” said Coach Kurt Hostetler. “We moved the ball around and created a few good scoring chances. The girls are playing with more confidence the last couple of games and just need to find a way to find the back of the net.”

Hesston travels to Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College on Monday, October 5, for a 4 p.m. match in hopes of notching a win.
